Learning Objectives

Introduction to NATO Peace Support Operations: After completing this lesson, you will be able to tell what are the key elements of NATO Peace Support Operations.

What are NATO Peace Support Operations?: After successfull completion you will be able to:
Describe NATO PSO. Differentiate the spectrum of PSOs. Distinguish the underpinning principles of NATO PSO. Describe the neccessity of CIMIC for NATO PSO. Tell the Deployable Joint Staff Element (DJSE) Concept. State the NATO Response Forces Concept.

Planning and Execution of Operations: After successfull completion you will be able to:
Describe the categories of the Operational Planning Process. List the different levels of the Operational Planning Process. Name the different stages of the Operational Planning Process

NATO Peace Support Operations - The Strategic Environment: After successfull completion you will be able to:
Name the stragtegic environment for NATO PSO. Tell the strategic concept

The Comperhensive Approach: After successfull completion you will be able to tell what is the comprehensive approach in PSO.

Methodology

The course aim is to provide an orientation towards NATO-led PSO, primarily at the operational level. The course is also an introduction for NATO School students to the NATO Peace Support Operations Course.
