Upon completion of this course students should be able to: Describe the purchase card and the various roles and responsibilities associated with the program, identify the rules for account maintenance, describe the controls and procedures for the Allied Command Operations Purchase Card (APC) Program and the sources that satisfy the requirements, describe the process, procedures and restrictions on unauthorized use of APC, identify purchase card disputes process and the dispute procedures, describe the efficiencies and benefits of using the APC.

Learning Objectives

Purchase Card Roles and responsibilities: Desrcribe the purchase card and the various roles and responsibilities associated with the program and identify the rules for account maintenance.

Purchase Card Program Policies: Identify the policies and regulations that govern the Purchase Card Program.

Purchase Card Program Players: Identify the key players in the ACO Purchase Card Program.

Account Set Up: Be familiar with the steps required to set-up the ACO Purchase Card Account and know the limits established for the Purchase Card.

Authorized Users: Be able to identify the authorized uses of the purchase card.

Legalities and Ethics: Be able to identify the legal and ethical issues as they relate to the ACO Purchase Card (APC).

Exemptions: Be able to identify tax exemption procedures.

Documentation: Be able to identify the rquirenments for the properly documenting purchases made with the ACO Purchase Card (APC).

Cardholder Responsibilities: Be able to identify the cardholder's responsibilities regarding reconciliation of their account.

Contingency Users: Be able to identify who is authorized to have a APC to use in a contingency, and identify the appropriate uses of the purchase card in a contingency environment.

Account Termination: Be able to recognize the conditions requiring an account to be terminated, and identify the processes involved in cancelling an account.
