Learning Objectives
Comprehend Concept Development Process:
Given references, the student will be able to participate in a CD&E working group in the development of an initial plan and detailed concept document.
Test the Concept:
Given references, the student will be able to work with an experimentation team in refining a concept using a valid experimental set up, determine the conditions for a “valid” experiment, set up an experimentation team, execute the experiment, and refine a concept based on results of the experimentation.
Connect the Concept Development & Experimentation with Capability Development Process:
Given references, the student will be able to determine the CD&E inputs required for the capability development process.
Course Participants
Rank Level: Military Rank level OF2 - OF5 and Civilian equivalents, open to students from NATO, PfP, Mediterranean Dialogue nations and other nations as approved by NATO.

Methodology
This one-week course is an externally-supported program of instruction, delivered by CD&E experts/instructors within ACT. It is conducted using the following methods of instruction:
a. Students gain basic knowledge of key principles of NATO CD&E via the prerequisite ADL Course.
i. Interactive Lectures (50%),
ii. Problem based learning including facilitated small group - syndicate work (40%) and
iii. Moderated learning journal reflections (10%).
