Aim
The aim of the course is to provide education and individual training on Operations Assessment theory and the application of the key tools and methods of Operations Assessment to train individuals assigned to a NATO or national Operations Assessment or related positions.

Learning Objectives
NATO Ops Assessment Theory:
Given references, students will explain NATO operations assessment theory and its application into NATO operations and exercises.
NATO Ops Assessment Processes:
Given references, students will describe the NATO operations assessment process and its relevance within the NATO Crisis Reponse System in accordance with COPD Chapter 5 and the NATO Operations Assessment Handbook (NOAH).
Prepare DATA Collection Plans and Apply Data Types:
Given a scenario, students will prepare plans for data collection and apply date types, metrics, measures, and performance goals.
Course Participants
Military officers (OF-2 through OF-5) or civilian equivalent assigned to an operations assessment or related position which fulfills responsibilities in support of NATO.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of interactive plenary lectures, followed by brief, moderated Q&A sessions alternating with facilitated work in small syndicates. Case studies and scenarios are also considered to identify best-practice and lessons identified. How assessment is practiced in civilian organisations is also discussed to identify similarities and differences with military operations assessment. Language proficiency of 3333 is considered the minimum standard required and fluency in the English language is desirable.
