Learning Objectives
NATO SBAD Strategy and Doctrine:
Given a scenario, students will demonstrate how NATO SBAD strategy and doctrine fits into the NATO command structure and operational planning process during a controlled exercise in accordance with applicable directives.
SBAD Planning and Operations:
Given a scenario, students will demonstrate early entry operations, follow on mission tasks, and area/asset protection planning in a controlled exercise in accordance with applicable directives and guidance.
Course Participants
Military officers (OF-1 through OF-5) and NCOs (OR-5 through OR-9), or their civilian equivalents, who are assigned to NATO or national positions that involve space support or planning in multinational joint operations.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of lectures and syndicate work. Day 1 is primarily focused on creating a baseline understanding of SBAD from a historical context and how NATO SBAD strategy, doctrine, and systems fit into the NATO command structure and operational planning process. Days 2 and 3 focus on SBAD planning and operations. Days 4 and 5 focus on applying the information learned from the lessons in scenario based syndicate work.
