EXPLAIN THE NATO INTELLIGENCE AND NATO IRM&CM FRAMEWORK:
Given references, the student will be able to explain the NATO Intelligence and IRM/CM framework to include key doctrinal concepts, organization within NATO, and governance structure.
IDENTIFY AND PROPOSE NATO IRM AND CM RESOURCE SOLUTIONS:
Given references, the student will be able to provide a recommendation on the selection of IRM and CM resources that is logical, measured, and defensible in accordance with (IAW) NATO doctrine, available Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) handbooks, Essential Elements of Information (EEI) and discipline specific Collection Requirements (CR) guides.
PERFORM INTELLIGENCE REQUIREMENT MANAGEMENT (IRM) PROCESSES:
Given an intelligence requirement, the student will be able to perform IRM processes and procedures to formulate an Intelligence Collection Plan (ICP) IAW NATO IRM doctrine and policies.
PERFORM COLLECTION MANAGEMENT (CM) PROCESSES:
Given a scenario, the student will be able to perform collection management processes that utilizes mission specific language, participate in the Joint Collection Management Board (JCMB), use appropriate language for each asset culture, and leverages the capabilities of NATO tools for Collection Management IAW NATO doctrine and Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTP)'s.
EXPLAIN THE RELATIONSHIP AND INTERACTIONS BETWEEN INTELLIGENCE REQUIREMENTS AND COLLECTION MANAGERS:
Given a scenario, the student will be able to explain the internal interaction between different functions in the intelligence staff, and further the interaction between IRM&CM staff at the operational level and other stakeholders.
EXPLAIN HOW THE IRM&CM FUNCTIONS SUPPORT NATO JOINT TARGETING DURING PLANNING AND OPERATIONS:
Given references, the student will be able to explain how the IRM&CM functions support NATO Joint Targeting.
FAMILIARISE WITH NATO INTELLIGENCE IRM&CM SYSTEMS AND TOOLS:
Given references, the students will familiarise with the different NATO intelligence domains and the generic NATO intelligence architecture. They will familirise with the current functions and the use of the different IRM&CM tools, including the availability of these tools on NATO Secret versus Mission Secret networks. They will be able to describe how non-availability of these systems and tools are overcome.
PREPARE REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION (RFIs):
Given a scenario, the student will be able to create RFIs which are reasonable, focused, geo-referenced, prioritized and justified, in accordance with NATO authorized publication using the latest developments and current IRM&CM panel agreements.
Intended training audience is IRM and CM personnel serving within the NATO Strategic and Operational commands due to the emphasis on joint operational functions. NFS IRM&CM personnel are also invited. This course could also benefit the wider intelligence community and all Intelligence personnel who require IRM training and awareness of CM functions/processes can participate.

A two-week course which will include one week focusing on IRM procedures and methodology plus practical exercises and another week focusing on CM procedures and methodology plus practical exercises. The course will use NATO IRM&CM tools currently available at NSO, including INTEL FS.

This is a two week course.
