Aim
Provide NATO Targeteers with the necessary knowledge and individual skills to develop and database any target type in the JTS database, according to NATO standards as described in Allied Joint Publication 3.9, ACO Directive 80-70 and USA Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction 3370.01.

Learning Objectives
Target Development:
Given references, students will define target development in accordance with CJCSI 3370.01, AJP 3.9, and AD 80-70.
NATO Target Sets:
Given references, students will describe specific target development characteristics associated with NATO Target Sets in accordance with CJCSI 3370.01, AJP 3.9, and AD 80-70.
Target Development Research & Resources:
Given examples, students will describe the available references and resources for target intelligence in NATO in accordance with CJCSI 3370.01, AJP 3.9, and AD 80-70.
IDB Search and Retrieval & Production:
Given references and 5 notional targets, students will develop and enter targets into the database (JTS) according to the standards discussed in accordance with CJCSI 3370.01, AJP 3.9, and AD 80-70.
Develop and Database Targets:
Given a scenario, students will prepare electronic target folders for 5 notional targets, in accordance with CJCSI 3370.01, AJP 3.9, and AD 80-70.
Course Participants
Military officers (OF-2 through OF-5) and NCOs (OR-5 through OR-9), or civilian equivalents, assigned to a position which fulfils responsibilities in support of NATO targeting.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of interactive lectures, briefings, and moderated Q&A sessions, followed by practical exercises and tests. Students must achieve at least an 80% on all exercises and tests.
