The aim of this course is to prepare students to analyse Electronic Warfare related information in an operational setting level and perform functions at EW in NATO Operational Planning Process (OPP).

PO 1-200: Advise planners on the EW contribution of the Operational Planning Process
PO 2-300: Generate the correct EW products during the Operational Planning Process

Learning Objectives

EW Considerations and Contributions to the Operational Planning Process: Given references, students will explain the EW planning considerations and the EW contribution to the Operational Planning Process at operational level.

Apply EW Considerations in the Operational Planning Process: Given a scenario, students will perform EW functions within the NATO OPP

Generate an EW Annex to the Operational Plan: Given a scenario, students will prepare an ANNEX P to an OPLAN

Course Participants

The primary target population for this course are military officers (OF-1 through OF-5) and NCOs (OR-5 through OR-9), or civilian equivalent, assigned to a post within NATO. The secondary target populations are civilian personnel from NATO nations and other personnel from Non NATO Nations with approval to attending NATO Secret Courses.

Methodology

This one-week course is comprised of interactive plenary lectures, followed by brief moderated Q&A sessions and syndicate work.

All students planning on attending the course must have a basic working knowledge of Electronic Warfare prior to attending this course in order to achieve the course objectives.
