ADL courses can be accessed without the need for enrolment but students are required to register through the JADL portal using a military/government email address otherwise they will not be accepted.

Learning Objectives

Explain the ACO TACEVAL programme.: Referencing TACEVAL Organization and Policies in AFS, the student will be able to explain the ACO TACEVAL programme, organization, and the conduct of TACEVALs.

Employ TACEVAL procedures.: Given the lectures, workshops, references, and supervision, the students will be able to employ TACEVAL procedures and guidelines.

Plan and execute a TACEVAL.: Given the lectures, workshops, references and supervision, the students will be able to prepare the documentation necessary for the planning and execution of an evaluation.

Produce TACEVAL field report.: Given the lectures, workshops, references and supervision, the student will be able to write draft comments including grading proposals for the TACEVAL field report as directed by the team leader.

Course Participants

Personnel assigned to a NATO unit declared to SACEUR or in a HQ position which supports NATO TACEVAL and/or personnel that have experience in specific logistic area that requires evaluation as specified in ACO FS Vol VI.

NCO: OR-6 thru OR-9
Officer: OF-1 thru OF-3 (Acceptance of OF-4 and OF-5 nominations will be subject to OPR approval)

Methodology

This one-week course is comprised of;
a. 8 lectures;
b. One individual report writing exercise; and
c. 6 scenario-based syndicate exercises. Assessment is summative.

All lecturers and syndicate facilitators are certified TACEVAL evaluators from ACO staff and NATO nations.
