evaluation of Force Protection (FP) functions during ACO
Tactical Evaluations (TACEVALs).

Learning Objectives
Introduction to TACEVAL:
Given references, the student will explain the TACEVAL programme, polices, and procedures in accordance with ACO TACEVAL directives.
TACEVAL FP Duties:
Given references, the student will apply TACEVAL FP evaluator observation and reporting concepts in accordance with ACO Forces Standards Vol. VI (STEM).
TACEVAL Execution:
Given references, the student will describe the evaluator’s responsibilities during the TACEVAL during integrated scenario injects from operations, logistics, and FP subject areas in accordance with ACO TACEVAL directives.
Course Participants
From NATO nations:
Military officers (OF-1 through OF-3; OF-4 acceptance will be subject to OPR approval) and NCOs (OR-6 through OR-9) assigned to a NATO unit declared to SACEUR or in a HQ position which supports NATO TACEVAL, and preferably experience in a specific SBAD, Flying Forces, or ASACS Operations area that requires evaluation as specified in the ACO Forces Standards Vol. VI.
From Partner nations
-Military officers (OF-1 thru OF-4; OF-5 acceptance subject to OPR approval) and NCOs (OR-6 thru OR-9), preferably experienced in a specific SBAD, Flying Forces, or ASACS Operations area that requires evaluation as specified in the ACO Forces Standards Vol. VI.

Methodology
This five-day course is comprised of formal lectures, followed by brief moderated question-and-answer sessions with individual exercises on various TACEVAL scenarios. Syndicate exercises are comprised of simulated scenarios to focus on refining evaluator reporting processes.
