Learning Objectives
NATO’s Role and Function:
Given references, the students will describe of NATO’s role and function in the current global security environment.
European Atlantic Security Architecture and Non-Military Threats, Dangers, and Risks to the Alliance:
Given references, the student will describe the Euro-Atlantic Security architecture and the non-military threats, dangers and risks to the Alliance.
NATO NCO Bi-SC Strategy and Recommended Guidelines:
Given references and scenarios, the student will explain the relevance of the NATO NCO Bi-SC Strategy and recommended guidelines.
Course Participants
NCOs (OR-4 through OR-9) or civilian equivalent who are assigned to the NATO command and force Structures, NATO Education and Training Facilities (NETF), and Centers of Excellence (COE), Partnership Training and Education Centers (PTEC), and National Training Institutions (NTI) that support NATO education and individual training.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of several modules that build upon each other. The topics are first delivered and explained in the classroom, illustrated in examples, exercised in syndicate groups, and finally discussed in plenary classroom by the whole body of students. Students are required to produce syndicate work in the form of PowerPoint presentations to confirm the acquirement of delivered knowledge as a part of a formative student assessment.
