Aim
To prepare students for NATO PA activities as NATO forces spokespersons and as NATO PA staff officers either on or in direct support of NATO operations.

Learning Objectives
Conduct PA Activities at the Operational Level:
Given a scenario, students will demonstrate the ability to conduct PA activities at the operational level in accordance with NATO doctrine and policy.
Conduct Media Relation Activities as a NATO Spokesperson:
Given a scenario, students will demonstrate the ability to conduct media activities as a NATO force spokesperson in accordance with NATO doctrine and policy.
Course Participants
Military Officers (OF-2 through OF-5) and NCOs (OR-5 through OR-9), or civilian equivalent, who will be assigned in a PA or spokesperson function. Students will be selected by the course director fulfilling following criteria: having successfully conducted a national PA training and the M5-46 course within two years before applying for the S5-44 course.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of interactive plenary lectures, followed by brief moderated Q&A sessions. Students will be trained to perform specific practical media relations tasks.
