practitioners to implement the policies, concepts,
principles and current practices related to geospatial
support within NATO.

Learning Objectives
Explain NATO's Structures, organizational relationships and functions:
Given references, students will describe the structure and functions of NATO and its command and forces structures.
Understand NATO's Geospatial and Supporting Organizations, Policies, and Procedures:
Given references and working in teams, students will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of NATO geospatial and supporting organizations' documentation, policies, and procedures.
Execute the process for providing geospatial support to NATO Operations and Exercises:
Given references, students will describe, then execute the process to conduct geospatial support to NATO planning and operations with implications for both individual and collective training.
Explain geospatial reachback support to NATO operations:
Given references, students will explicate the geospatial reachback support to operations from the perspective of the GISN concept, the NATO Intelligence Fusion Centre (NIFC), nations and national organizations, and NCIA operational support and provision of core GIS.
Identify Geospatial Support requirements in an Exercise setting:
Given references, students will incorporate the contents of LO1-5 into products identifying the geospatial support requirements (including METOC and IMINT collaboration) through the NATO operational planning framework timelines.
Explain NATO Capability Development:
Given references, explain the current issues, transformation and capability developments surrounding the NATO geospatial community.
Course Participants
Military officers (OF-2 through OF-5) and NCOs (OR-5 through OR-9), or civilian equivalents, who are assigned to a NATO or PfP organization, a Ministry of Defence, or subordinate military headquarters, unit, or agency that fulfils responsibilities in support of NATO geospatial information and capability.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of interactive plenary lectures, followed by practical, instructor-facilitated small group exercises. When courses run concurrently, students will execute joint exercises.
