For didactic purposes the lectures will be structured on the “necessary-time-principle” meaning that, according to the subject, there will be 50 minute lectures as well as 120 minute lectures followed by a 10-15 minute question and answer session. Although there is some kind of a formal distinction between theory and practice, many parts of the theoretical lectures do include practical exercises on an individual basis. In a number of cases, the students will work in teams. This occurs during the data packaging exercise and the major one-day exercise on Thursday of the second week. The main purpose is to introduce students to the principles of a division of labour for complex exercises.
