Learning Objectives
Describe NATO Crisis Management:
Given a series of presentations and syndicate assignment, students will successfully describe the principal NATO Crisis Management (CM) bodies, systems, procedures and process in accordance with relating NATO documents.
Understand the interaction between NATO, partners and IGOs:
Given a series of presentations, students will successfully describe the interaction between NATO and its partners, and the role of international organizations in CM in accordance with relating doctrine.
Understand Legal Dimension of NATO Crisis Management and NRF Concept:
Given a series of presentations, students will successfully describe the legal dimension of crisis management, NATO response force (NRF) concept and public information during the planning and implementation of Crisis Response Operations (CROs) in accordance with relating doctrine.
Course Participants
Military officers or civilian equivalents assigned to:
- A NATO HQ or agency;
- A force assigned or earmarked to NATO;
- A Ministry of Defense, foreign affairs or subordinate HQ or agency, which fulfills conceptual and operational responsibilities in support of possible NATO, UN, OSCE, or other relevant operations.

Methodology
This one week residential course is made up of the following elements:
a) Pre arrival: Prerequisite(s) identified at para (d)
b) During Course:
i. Interactive lectures,
ii. Briefings,
iii. Scenario-based syndicate work,
iv. Guided discussions and
v. Group presentations/Back Briefs.
