Learning Objectives

CBRN Analysis Program Concepts: Given references on CBRN Analysis software, the student will explain the CBRN warning and reporting concepts, capabilities, and limitations of the program in accordance with the operator’s manual and ATP-45.

Operation Methodology: Given references on CBRN Analysis software, the student will demonstrate the ability to navigate program tools involving chemical, biological, nuclear, and radiological attack scenarios in accordance with the operator’s manual and ATP-45.

Consequence Assessment: Given references on CBRN Analysis software, the student will apply input parameters for consequence assessment outputs in accordance with the operator’s manual and ATP-45.

Course Participants

Military officers (OF-1 through OF-3) and NCOs (OR-4 through OR-9), or civilian equivalent, who are assigned to a NATO or PfP headquarters, agency, Ministry of Defence, Foreign Affairs department, subordinate military headquarters, or any NATO or PfP unit or agency which fulfils responsibilities in support of NATO/PfP CBRN operations.

Methodology

This one-week course is comprised of formal lectures, followed by brief, moderated questions and answer sessions with individual exercises on various scenarios using the CBRN Analysis Program. A culminating exercise and presentation concludes the five-day course by incorporating all of the learning objectives.

Further Information

This course will enable students to navigate each of the CBRN Analysis program incident cases in order to produce outputs for Consequence Assessment in accordance with ATP-45. Successful completion of P3-71 is required.
