Aim
The aim of this course is to provide fundamental knowledge of NATO medical intelligence procedures in order to; arrange, manage, plan and synthesize medical intelligence for NATO missions, NCS and NFS. This includes concepts, precepts, terminology, general program management and procedures.

Learning Objectives
Comprehend NATO Medical Command and Control structures:
Given a scenario, students from different nations and cultures will be able to describe NATO command, control, and force structures in accordance with current practices.
Explain NATO Intelligence, Medical Information and NATO Medical Intelligence:
Given a scenario, students will explain terms, differences, and interfaces of NATO intelligence and medical intelligence within joint multinational operations.
Synthesize NATO Medical intelligence:
Given a scenario, students will develop MEDINTEL products IAW references that support commanders leading joint multinational operations.
Apply the Medical Intelligence Process:
Given scenarios, students will demonstrate in detail different aspects of medical intelligence assessment and development of medical intelligence products for military, humanitarian, and joint multinational operations
Course Participants
Military officers (OF-1 through OF-9) and NCOs (OR-6 through OR-9), or their civilian equivalents, serving in a NATO HQ or NATO agency in medical or intelligence staff positions, or other medical personnel on a case-by-case basis.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of lectures and syndicate work. Day 1 provides a broad overview of NATO structures focusing on medical support including an introduction to NATO Intelligence. Day 2 focuses on introducing the NATO intelligence cycle and how medical intelligence contributes to it and uses this process while collecting data. Day 3 concentrates on processing medical intelligence data with an academic and a practical focus. Days 4 and 5 are syndicate focussed with emphasis on developing and presenting medical intelligence products to a commander of a proposed joint multinational operation.
