Learning Objectives
Describe the NATO organisation and current operations:
Given references the student will describe NATO organization and recent operational experiences.
Demonstrate leadership in an international environment:
Given a scenario, students will apply the DISC framework in accordance with DISC manuals.
Comprehend the International Ethics and Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC):
Given references, the student will explain the myriad of leadership challenges and ethical dilemmas in NATO as they relate to a multiracial, multicultural, and multigender force.
Comprehend current issues:
Given references, student will explain the NATO Bi-SC Directive governing NCO development with NATO in accordance with NATO NCO Bi SC strategy.
Course Participants
NATO/partner military personnel at the OR 8 – OR 9 levels or civilian equivalent.

Methodology
A two week residential course comprised of behaviour modelling, interactive lectures, problem-based learning (small group – syndicate work), role play, and simulation (practical exercises/gaming).
A working knowledge of the NATO Bi-SC Strategy & Guidelines (Reference C) is required.
