Learning Objectives
Instructional Theory:
Given references, the student will individually be able to explain the theoretical components of effective teaching.
Lesson Plan:
Given references, the student will individually be able to construct a Lesson Plan
Effective teaching:
Given references, the student will be able to individually teach a lesson in accordance with a self preparred lesson plan, integrating effective instructional strategy and methods
Course Participants
Military officers (OF-1 through OF-5) and NCOs (OR-5 through OR-9), or civilian equivalents.

Methodology
This one-week course is comprised of interactive lectures, syndicate work, and student lessons. Instruction is comprised out of various topics benefical in applying effective teaching methods. The theoretical lessons are reinforced with student individual preparation of lesson plans and executing these lessons to a syndicate group. Lesson content is selected by the student, allowing students to select a familiar topic and giving syndicate facilitators the ability to focus on teaching style and techniques. Lesson goals are based on the competency standards outlined by the international Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSTPI) to ensure a thorough and expedient training process for personel assigned to international military instructional positions.
