By Major Josef Oswald, Joint Plans and Operations Department

From 24 – 28 Sep 18, 30 students from Ukraine (UKR) attended the Consultation, Command and Control (C3) Course (N5-35-B-18) at the NATO School Oberammergau (NSO). This being the highest number of UKR students ever having attended an NSO course made it a very unique and exceptional iteration. The UKR delegation was led by Ms Iryna Donets, NCI Agency project manager, and Colonel Kostiantyn Kurochkin, Deputy Chief of Section in the General Staff of the UKR Armed Forces. During an office call with Colonel Timothy E. Dreifke, NSO Commandant, it was agreed on to consolidate the cooperation between the NSO and UKR.

In the C3 Course the processes of Consultation, Command and Control as well as Cyber and future aspects within NATO are being taught. This course is very specific, complex and generally supported by 16 speakers. In addition to the 30 members of the UKR delegation, 49 students from 22 different nations attended the recent iteration.
